Not only has it made me reflect on the loss of my family and friends, it has made me reflect on the thousands of lives lost on that fateful day and it is comforting to know that I am not the only one who is going through pain but is also discomforting thinking about the thousands of families around the world that are still, up to this day, hurting from 9/11. It makes me sad to think that there are people out there in the world that would go out of there was to harm people and in this case a nation to simply pass on a message that could have been delivered peacefully and not through an act of terrorism.</text>

<text>i was at home on the morning of 911 just a couple of blocks away from the world trade centre. my mother had just swited on the morning news when she screamed "those blooody arabs just crashed a plane into the twin towers"

i was shocked beyond belief and could not comprehend such a horrible act of terror bestowed upon the american nation, the largest superpower ever known on this planet. i rewatched the news footage throughout the day and still could not believe that this had actually happened.

september 11 has changed my life forever, i have now joined the US Army and vow to avenge the deaths of those lost in the septmeber 11 attacks and to fight the war of terror.</text>

From September 11, 2001 till the end of May 2002 I was a victim of Attempted Murder and Assault in the First Degree. Osama Bin Laden and Al Qaeda Soldiers Conspired an “Act of War” on the United States of America as per the President. On September 11th I was a Retired New York City Police Department Detective working as a Private Investigator in Manhattan. This Terrorist Group Al Qaeda flew planes into the World Trade Center /Twin Towers and caused massive death.
As a result of the above Terrorist Acts Osama Bin Laden and his Al Qaeda Soldiers caused serious physical injury and I have permanent disabling injuries to my internal organs. This Terrorist Organization intended to do these horrific acts and put me in grave risk of death.
I worked at ground zero, the Woolworth Building, and the American Red Cross Building on the Brooklyn side of the Brooklyn Bridge.

Crushed beneath the rubble
But never letting go
Underneath the broken rock
Time is moving slow

Couldn't see the light of day
My time is running out
But then a tunnel to the world
Stole away my doubt

Firefighters did their job
And slowly I was freed
With broken bones and crushed limbs
My only injuries

Crushed beneath the rubble
My life was slowly saved
Thanks to paramedics

I rememeber it was morning work and I seen the scared look on my teachers faces I really didn't think anything of it so I went back into doing my work. A couple minutes later they told us to get our belongings and wait for our parents to pick us up. At that time I was asking questions asking what's going on. My mother picked me up and we went home and my great grandmother had on the T.V and I couldn't believe me eyes I thought it was something in a movie. Being a 7 year old your gonna be confussed asking "why is the building on fire?" My mother explained everything to me and I was scared to death I wouldn't even go upsairs to use the bathroom because I though something was gonna get me. My life has changed from 9\11 by living one day at a time. Not to sweat the small things because life is to short. R.I.P to those who lost their life that day.</text>

<text>I was laid off from my work on Sept. 11, 2001. I was living in Tarrs, PA when the flight 93 flew over my house and crashed in Somerset. I have never really spoke of it untill now...I remember waking up, going downstairs and turning on the tv. I watched the broadcast of the first tower on fire and then a jet-airliner slammed into the second tower (I watched that live feed). Then they were saying about the Pentagone getting hit. I was wondering what the hell was going on in the world all of a sudden. And I was thinking that my position on the Earth's surface put me pretty much smack dab in the middle of the two places that were being targeted (New York and Washington D.C.). I was a little to the West but in the middle non-the-less. THEN they started blaring about the one in Somerset, PA and I started looking up toward the sky and thinking Good Lord are they going to crash through my house, next? Somerset, Penna is about, oh, I say about a half hour drive..Or about 3 mins as the terrorrists fly from my former place. I never actually saw the plane go over my house....talked to some that said they did see it....</text>

Today, in 2011, I never think about engaging in those activities without also considering the possibility of terrorism re-visiting us in those venues.

<text>I was in my 5th grade classroom when the September 11th attack happened. I remember wondering why my teacher was crying and why all the adults seemed to be so frantic. Our teachers were not allowed to tell us what happened because they didn’t want to scare us. When I got home my mom was watching the news (which she never does) and I saw a burning building on TV. I asked my mom what the big deal was, it was just another fire, it happens all the time. It wasn’t until years later when I would fully understand what that burning building meant to our country and how America changed forever that day. </text>
