Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: On September 10, 2001 I took 11 junior high kids to a contemporary Christian concert at the local fair. Uplifting songs of God's love rang out over the entire fairgrounds. We had a great time, but got home late after returning all the kids to their homes after the concert. On September 11, I got all my kids off to school and then went back to sleep to catch up from the night before. My husband came into our bedroom and said, "Babe, I know you're trying to sleep...but you have to get up, we're under attack". A little dazed, I asked him what he was talking about and he replied, "they're taking planes full of people and crashing them all over the country!" My heart jumped. I flung back the covers and asked, "Who?!? Who is doing that?" He said "I don't know. It's awful. Come and see." We walked into the living room and watched in horror as the news stations played the clips of the towers collapsing. We were horrified at the predictions that there could be 50,000 people in the towers when it fell. I had the full range of emotions from sadness to disbelief and anger. The one year anniversary was yesterday. I am determined to reconsider my life and live with purpose.
