Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was sitting in my living room watching CBS when they broke in to say there was a fire at the WTC. I watched the whole event unfold. I prayed for the safety of all involved. At the realization of what had really happened, I cried, I hugged my daughters close and I prayed for the lives lost, for the lives that were forever changed, for all the loss yet to come. I was numb. I could not imagine why this had to be. The lack of value that someone had on human life, that could so heartlessly take so many away in such a manner. I attended a church service that evening. There were many there. We wept and prayed and wept some more. It was a very quiet service. No one smiled or talked, we just silently comforted each other. Our pastor barely made it through his first sentence before he broke down in tears before us. He was still stuggling for answers while he was being called to lead his congregation.The fact that anyone could even attempt to justify these actions made us sickened us. A kind and just and loving God would never request of anyone to commit such an act of destruction and violence, and devastation. The true character of the American people has shone through and I have never been prouder to be an American than I have been this past year. I have watched a self serving country turn into a selfless community working together to help each victim of this horrific attack. I will always remember the footage that is now etched in my mind. I honor thse who died and I pray for their families and all the lives they touched. May God bless America!
