Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: "A plane crashed into the world trade center and the pentagon." That statement was what my 23 year old daughter said to me on the phone. "Yea right", was my answer. "Turn the TV on mom!" I turned in on in time , to see the second tower hit. It was absolutely surreal, like some sick movie. My eyes could not believe what i was seeing. My daughter came in, my husband got up, and the three of us just sat there stunned at what we were watching. A friend of mine called on the phone, and said that parents were rushing to school to pick up there kids, and she was on the way to pick up hers. I debated back and forth with my husband what to do, and we decided that the best thing was to get our 13, and 14 year old and bring them home. I was fully expected to see a panicked office at the school, but driving the 15 minutes there, there was an unusual stillness in the air. I got to the school and the parking lot was quiet. I went in the school, and a lone parent was walking down the hallway. No one was talking. The sign out book was full of parents signatures for the day, simply stated, "Bombing".
