Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: We were to have a fire drill that day and my granddaughters teacher was so glad that I was there to help with the first drill of the year. About 9:30 am they came over the P.A. and said that the drill had been cancelled. I thought nothing of it, as did the teacher. At 11:00am I was on my home when my cell phone rang. It was my daughter, sounding very upset. She said where are you! Thinking that was not her usual I said in the car on my way home. She said mother have you heard what has happened. Upon which I told her no that I had been working in her daughters class room. She said mother, I think you need to go back to the school and get the kids for me. I said what has happened? Then she told me and I almost stopped dead in the road. I was so upset, I could not focus on anything for such a long time. I could not tear myself away from the TV. I was young during the Cuba crisis, but this was far to close to home and now I had a child and grandchildren. I could not sleep, I was a mess. I really was afraid that I needed a psychiarist. This was just to much for me to swallow. I have freinds that have gone to NY to see ground zero and have asked me to go........NO!!! I could never just stand there and imagine what all of those people went through. What there loved ones must still be going through and WHY would some one do such a thing to so many that had done nothing to them. I would love for all of them to know that my heart breaks every day for all of them and pray to GOD, that he will heal them and give them streath to go on for the ones that are no longer here.
