Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I went to work that morning with my heart already heavy with sadness. I good friend's father was struggling through the last days of his battle with cancer. As I got my first cup of coffee and set up my desk to start work, a co-worker turned and said, "A plane flew into the World Trade Center". I have to admit, I visualized a small business plane, a Cessna, or something like that, and I just muttered, "I have people I know who I have to think about right now". Shortly, only a few minutes later, she turned to me again and said, "They think it was a 737 or something like that". I looked up startled! I apologized for my comment before and turned my radio on. Shortly after that our office manager arrived to work and brought the tv out into the work area. We all sat stunned while the events, now so well known, unfolded before our eyes. The phones were quiet that day. A lot of offices closed, some never opened. We stayed all day, glued to the events; we wondered in horror what the next terrible thing would be. In some ways, we were in a state of total and complete shock and in a state of disbelief. The reality of the events were too much to take in all at once. I watched the replay of events over and over that night. Inspite if the horror, I could not drag myself away. My tears would not stop.
