Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Even though we are a couple hours behind, I had already been at work for several hours. I am a purchasing agent for a plumbing company and I heard about the tragedy on the radio. I immediately took off for a supplier's shop to watch on TV what I was only able to see through my mind's eye. We closed down our company before lunch so that everyone could pick up their kids and be with whatever family they might have. I spent months crying every time I heard the national anthem. My most singular memory was of the African American fireman (or was it a policeman?) singing the "God Bless America" at all the Yankee's games. I swear I have never shed so many tears in such a short time. Like most Americans I knew a few people killed, and I will forever remember September 11th 2001. It was the day our current society lost its innocence. It was the day I was robbed of friendships. I remember talking to those older than I about the assasination of JKF; and it seems no matter how young or old you are, you remember that day. 9-11 will be the day that no one will forget for the new generations. God Bless America, freedom, and may he continue to find ways to assuage the anguish of our suffering.
