She tells me that a plane just hit the trade center. I turned on the tv and said those damn traffic controllers what are they doing! As I watched another plane hit the other tower,and then I knew something was very wrong.My mom needed to go food shopping so we went as we arrived we heard that the pentagon was hit . She needed to do other shopping but one the way home I heard that tower one collapsed and I needed to go home. It was devasting news. I chose not to take my children out of school.I wanted to delay this news. When my high schoolers came home My oldest was devasted as he was told that the pentagon was under was under attack period! the rest was left to his imagination. He had spent most of the day in the nurses office. If I would have known he would have been home with me.My husbands cousin was a Port authority cop at the time and thankfully he was safe!
