Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I will always remember where I was on September 11,2001. I was in the hospital with my father. On September 8,2201 my father went into the emergency room of Mesa Luthern hospital with severe abdominal pain. We later found out that he had a mass the size of a grapefruit on his pancreas. Obviuosly, this was quite a shock to my family. He was admited immediately. Fortunately, I was able to take a leave from work to be with him while he was in the hospital. Which ended up being four months. The morning of September 11, I was trying to get some sleep after a very rough night with my father. Something that is almost impossible in the hospital, they are forever coming ang going poking and checking something. My mother woke me up right after the first plane hit. I remember rolling over and thinking to myself," Someone is trying to start another world war. " Then the reality of what was happening hit me and jumped out of bed just in time to see the second plane hit. I remember the horrified way I felt when I saw the towers collapse. I have a cousin in New York and my thoughts were with him, as I knew that he was probably watching helplessly as people were jumping off of the building. He still won't talk about it. All I could do that day was push the panic that I was feeling aside, because I had to send my father into a surgery that would either save his life or kill him. I sat down after my father had gone into surgery and prayed. I prayed for hours. To me, September 11th will always be a reminder of how strong the human spirit can be when called upon to be so. I saw men and woman push aside their fear and come together to do their best to save lives. And I saw my family go through one of life's hardest trials without falling apart. So, whenever anyone asks me where I was on September 11th, I will always be ready with an answer.
