Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was in bed and was awakened by the ring of the telephone. I answered reluctantly expecting it to be the hospital asking me to come into work. To my surprise it was my sister with the terrible news. Her words were "we are being attacked, turn on your tv". I scrambled for the remote and could not believe the images that I was seeing. I immediately went and got my 9 month old daughter out of her crib and held her close, as her father and I watched the story unfold. The three of us sat there trying to comperhend exactly what had taken place. Struggling to dial the numbers on the telephone because I could not see through the tears that were streaming down my face and my hands were shaking so badly, I called my parents overseas to see if they knew what was goig on or if they had spoken with any of our family memebers that live in NY. My younger sister answered and you could hear the regular chaos going on in the background and at that point I knew that they had not yet seen the news. I told my mother what was going on and hung up to begin calling all of my family memebers that live in NY to be sure that they were ok. In the end we lost one family memeber in the WTC.
