Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: when I woke up on 9/11 and started my daily routine. I turned on the channel 11 news and started to hear of the terrible tragedy from the first plan crashing into to the world trade center. I called my 5 children in my room, as we all watched in disbelief that this is actually taking place before our very eyes in America. Isn't this the home of the free and the brave where we are suppose to be safe? I couldn't help but to cry and my children cried with me. As we were watching we actually seen the second plan hit the other building. That made my heart drop right in the middle of my stomach. I then had to explain my burst of tears to all my children. That day I did not want my children to go to school because I wanted them to be safe. It was then that I realized no matter where they are they are not safe. This could happen to any one any where. I sent them off to school that day but before saying good bye I looked them in the eye one by one and told them no matter what happened that I loved them and I would get to them no matter what happened. This made me realize what a blessing they are to me and that we are still a family today. God bless all those who have died may you rest in peace and God be with those who suffer from the loss of a loved one.
