911DA Story: Story

While it seems that my whereabouts is irrevelant, I feel compelled to tell my story. The small family cafe where I was working that day has firefighter and medic memorbiela all over the place. Dailey... customers and employees are reminded of the importance of these people. We were all going about our day just like any other day until we noticed the commotion on the tv. Regular customers, family and friends all gathered around that tv in awe. We cried and shared our fears and concerns. The bakery man from across the street came over to watch in horror as the people from his country scattered and screamed "Kill the americans". I felt sorrow for this man I did not even know. He is dark skinned and from somewhere other than America and denied his people for what was happening. One regular customer came in and I remember her saying that one look at my face and she knew something terrible had happened. We will always remember each other because of closeness of our tears that day. I know I will never forget that dreadfull day. I wanted to be near my children and my parents right then. I did not want my children to ever experience that kind of fear. I was not at that cafe today, in fact I have moved 1600 miles away from there but I'll not forget those people ever and the sorrow we shared.
