Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I am originally from NYC and was living there when the Trade Center was built. It was the talk of the town. Anybody who was anybody went to "Windows on the World". I never could have imagined its fate. Fortunately for me, when 9/11 happened, I did not know that one of my dearest friends was supposed to be teaching a class on the 103rd Floor of Tower 2. I later found out that he had called a cab to take him to the train station in New Jersey and the cab never showed up. After expressing his anger to the cab company, he walked to the train station and caught the third train instead of the first, which was his usual schedule. While he was on that train coming from NJ, he saw the first, then the second plane hit the towers. He lost many people that day - all of students in his class and many coworkers. As for me, in addition to the horror that we all felt and witnessed, I felt a more personal stab in my heart because they hit my home town and they nearly killed my dear friend. They may have killed other people that I knew but still don't know about their passing. This still haunts me. And I never did make it to "Windows on the World".
