Because I work at night I was asleep when the terrorists attacked, so my wife called to let me know what was happaning. And then like most Americans I spent the rest of the day glued to the T.V. Then I went to work at the paper and helped put out one of the "The Virginian Pilot's" most historic papers. How has your life changed because of September 11, 2001? If so, tell us how. I don't feel our country is as safe as I used to think. I feel like we're more vulnerable. What do you think should be remembered about September 11th? I think we should remember the way the country pulled together to help the victims of the attacks. I also think we should remember the heroism of the firefighters, the policeman, and the passengers on the flight 93. Finally, we should remember that the people who attacked us are extremists who don't respect the views of most Arabs. Did you fly an American flag after the events of September 11th? Have your feelings about the American flag changed as a result of September 11th? Yes, we did fly a flag. I think we don't take what the flag represents for granted anymore.
