Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: My name is Katie Tucker and I go to Olympia High School in Central IL. We are pretty much out in a corn field by ourselfs but somehow on September 11 it felt as if we were being watch by someone we didn't know and couldn't see! I usually get to school pretty early in the morning so I don't have to worry about all the traffic. It was 9:00 a.m. when the morning annoucements came on and said that a plane had flew into a tower in New York. At school that is pretty much all they could tells us(they were afraid we would want to go home). My friends mother works in the middle school libray, so at lunch we went to watch CNN. It was the most terrifying thing that my eyes had ever seen! On t.v. there were thousands of people running for their lives, gray dust was covering everthing and everyone. I had this feeling like I wanted to help them but all I could do is sit there and look at what someone had done to these people, people that they did not even know! I had so many questions that there was no answers for. I felt helpless and these events were thousands of miles away. Right then I went to the payphone and called my mother at work, I told her that I loved her and that we need to talk when she came home. Today is September 11, 2002 and this morning before my mom went to work and my sister and I went to school we put the flag up together. We hugged each other and told oneonther that we loved each other. After September 11, my family opened up more.
