Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: The first plane hit WTC just as I arrived for work. I remember the air was thick with anxiety and shock. Since I work for a major investment bank headquartered in lower Manhattan, our disaster recovery plan required us to take over functions from that region as backup. While I think our staff kept things going in a admirable fashion, it was extremely hard to focus on the tasks at hand knowing some of our coworkers were there in the thick of pure pandomonium. Our manager was visiting HQ in NYC and in fact was staying the Millenium Hotel next to the WTC, but fortunately was blocks away at the time of impact. In the end, we lost two in the towers. When the towers fell, the world changed in more ways than we could count for our nation.
