I feel like I'm kinda late in doing this but wanted everyone to know that this tragedy didn't just hit the U.S. it hit your neighbors as well. It was just a normal work day for me. I work at Walmart up here in Edmonton, Alberta. I first heard the news around 8:45 am when I went for my first break. Someone said that an airplane hit the World Trade Center and it sounded like an accident. But then the "story" went around that another airplane hit the World Trade Center again and this time there was talk of a terrorist attack. Alot of us gathered around Layaway desk to hear what was happening on the radio. We were all in shock to think that something like this could happen. I didn't hear much more then that until my friend went home for lunch and came back with the story that she saw on the news. Both towers were hit and collapsed, the pentagon was hit and another plane that was headed for the White House went down somewhere else in Pennsylvania. How could this be happening? Why would someone do this to our neighbors? I am the "leader" of our Charity Club in the store I work in. As soon as we heard what happened, we started a "charity box" for the victims of this terrible tragedy. We did raise alot of money due to the overwhelming response we got from our customers and associates. You are in our thoughts and in our hearts U.S.!!
