Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: We were all in our real estate office listening to the light AM radio. My husband called me and told me that a plane had hit one of the towers of the WTC. We listened in the office, I frantically searched the internet for information. We heard the news of the second plane hitting the south tower. Work stopped, the phones stopped ringing, and we were begging someone to bring us a TV. Then, we got the news the Pentagon was hit. We were at war. My son is, and was, an active member of the US Navy, and my thoughts went immediately to him and his wife, also in the navy. Will we all ever be together? Will our brave servicepeople go off to war? We got the TV in the office in time to watch the Towers fall. Oh, my, I can still remember the feeling, all those people... We stayed at work, but we did not work, we were stunned and shocked, we were crying and trying to cope. I got home in time to watch WTC7 fall, saw the area where the plane plummeted in Pennsylvania. We were stunned and shocked, for days we cried. I was so angry, at who? at what? I sat outside in the dark, once the airplanes started flying again, and when one was overhead, I ran inside crying, who would be next? September 11th, 2001 is a tragedy. We sould make this day a national holdiay, to reflect on our losses, to find our national spirit, to honor our dead and celebrate our armed forces, who go into harm's way for our national pride.
