Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: On September 11, I was in Basic Training for the Army in Ft. Jackson, SC. That day, I didn't have a typical day of Boot Camp. I was working in the kitchen, doing kitchen patrol. I was serving meals to my fellow soldiers. One of our Drill Sergants came in and told us that the World Trade Center had been bombed. We were hysterical, being in Boot Camp, we saw a huge threat of going to war. Later that day, out Company Commander gave us a briefing on what had all happened. We were then permitted to call our families and tell them that we were going to be alright. It was a very memorable day for me. I will never forget it.
