Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I would like to begin by sending out my deepest sympathies to everyone who has lost someone in this horrible tragedy. My father has lost his cousin William Arthur Gardener. Unfortunately, I never got the chance to know him but this has still had a huge impact on my life and those of my family. Let's see, the morning of that dreadful day, I had just gotten home from work, and had the news on to check and see how the weather was going to be, so I could dress my daughter accordingly.As I was preparing myself to get a little sleep before I started my daily errands, "BREAKING NEWS" flashed across my T.V. screen. At the time it was thought to be a little private plane that might have had some sort of misfunction or something. I remember thinking how horrible for those poor people, I watched a little longer before turning in for bed.I actually shut my set off right before the second plane hit the other tower. Upon waking up 2 hrs. later, I turned the T.V. back on and was in utter disbelief as to what was happening. I was filled with so many different emotions. An overwhelming sadness for all those people on the planes and what their last thoughts were, and my first reaction was to go and get my daughter out of school, the not knowing what if anything was going to happen next, I knew I needed her to be with me. Then I went to the store and proceeded to get some supplies for all those firefighters and policeman,and everyone else working round the clock to help those poor people, I too wanted to do what I could.May all those innocent people forever rest in peace. This will be a day of mourning for myself and family and everyone forever. May God bless those who have fallen,God bless those who constantly fight to endure our feedom,God bless all the heroes and most of all GOD BLESS AMERICA!
