Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: My memory of that day starts with my husband, 10 month old son and I in bed having some family quiet time before the day got started. The phone rang. It was my mother. I will never forget her words to me. "Turn on the TV. They've bombed the World Trade Center and there's something going on at the Pentagon." My adrenalin surged as I turned on the news to see the horrifying footage. Although I knew no one in those places (that I'm aware of) I spent the day glued to the television, not wanting to see, yet somehow needing to. I cried and prayed for days after. My heart especially goes out to the children whose lives were ripped apart by the loss of one or more of their cherished people. I would look at my son and think of their's. What a nightmare. And yet, there is still life, there is still hope, there is still reason to go on. As an American and even more as a Christian, I know that there is still good and that good will overcome evil. I know that there are many who cannot fathom a God who would allow such atrocities, but the atrocities come from the hatred, anger and wrong-doing of mankind. Free will. God does love us and will help us overcome anything that evil might throw our way if we stand with Him. My prayers are with all who have suffered such great loss as a result of this tragedy.
