I was in my office going about my usual day. I listen to local radio staion Peach 94.9 on our phone system. All of a sudden the news breaks in that a plane hit The World Trade Center. I thought they were talking about a little Cessna or something like that. I went out to Linda's (co-worker)desk and ask if she had heard. She told me a passenger plane had hit. We were horrified... we did not know if it was an accident or... Of course as the day went on we all heard all the horrible events... I was glued to my radio... I could not work. My husband's office is next to Dobblns Air Force Base...they all left and went to a friends house to watch television.

I've been to the towers... in 1977 my Mom moved us back to the States after living in Puerto Rico for 10 years. We went to New York City to visit a friend and he took us there. I was wowed by their heigth... every picture I've seen has had those two buildings standing tall.

More important are all those lives lost... one year ago and you still feel a wrench in your heart.

I am very sad this day, but I have to go about business... that is how I handle things.
