Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was laying in bed feeding my 1 month old son and and all of a sudden I heard a yell from my husband downstairs, a kind of yell I'll never forget. "Turn on the t.v." he shouted. The first image I saw was the first tower burning. At that time I didn't know what had just happened, then my husband and daughter joined me in our bed and we watched and heard a what caused the fire. I thought what a horrible accident, what made a plane do this? Then the second plane came through the air right before our eyes and crashed into the second tower. I gasped and thought what is going on? Then we all sat together glued to the t.v and trying to hush our then 14 month old daughter who kept saying "a-plane uh- oh" Throughout that morning we stayed glued to the t.v. learning of all the days tragedy's and Fearing that some kind of war was happening and what could possibly happen next? I have never been to New York and being born and raised in Oregon I've hardly even been out of my state. on that tragic day We didn't even feel safe in our little rural town. Now a year later I can't say that I really understand why some terrorists feel that what they did was the right thing to do. I don't know that I truly have faith in the changes in our national security that have been made either. I do know that I keep my children and family closer to me. I pray everyday for all the people who have had to go on without there loved ones. I pray for the men and women who died. I truly am greatful to be an american and live in the United States. How sad it would be to live in a country where seeing your flag didn't bring you a smile and some sense of peace.
