Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was at work and one of my coworkers was listening to the radio and heard the report of the first plan hitting. We all ran to the breakroom and turned the TV on just in time to see the replays and watch as the second plane hit. Then we heard a 3rd plane had hit the Pentagon. My boss was at a business meeting just a few blocks from the Pentagon so we spent many anxious hours until he called to let us know he was alright. One of our coworkers had a daughter who worked near the WTC. It made a tremendous impact on all of us and made both New York and Washington seem so much closer. Being near to Fort Bragg made it even more surreal as we kept hearing the jets and helicopters passing overhead. We spent the remainder of the day trying to work but drawn to the TV to watch it unfolding. Just today the hospital had a memorial service on the front lawn. As we all stood watching the maintenance crews display an enormous flag from the roof of the building that fell over 5 floors. It was hard to believe a full year had gone by and I think everyone in the crowd ran the full gammet of emotions from disbelief to rage to alnost overwhelming sorrow.
