Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: A co-worker of mine Henrietta Green ran into the office and turned on the small TV, she then called my name (Sheila Martin)and told me to come look. The news was showing the New York Trade Center where the first Plane had hit. Within second we saw another plane come into view and it hit the second building of the Trade Center. We were in shock. Then the new cut to Washington, DC and they showed the plane hitting the Pentagon. Henrietta and I began to gather our personal belongs and ran out the building to go home. We were very frighten by what we had just saw on the TV and what happen to the Pentagon. It was just to close to our building for us to stay. When I got home my son me why I was home so early I told him to watch the New with me and to show him what had happen. I continue to watch the new coverage for the rest of the day. Up until late that night I kept calling my sister because her best friend work at the Pentagon and we had not hear from her. It was very hard for me to sleep that night seeing the things that happen in New York and Washington, DC. That night I got down on my knees and pray for everybody in New York and Washington. The next day at work I found out that a co-worker in my office lost her husband at the Pentagon. It was very sad in the office the whole day because no one was able to get in touch with the co-worker to see if she was OK. Henrietta and I came in the next day to work and closed out the payroll for the Department of Housing and Urban Development, and made sure that the people in New York who worked for The Department of HUD got paid.
