Tell us your story: I was just getting out of the shower, when I received a phone call from my father telling me to go turn on the news because a plane had hit one of the World Trade Center buildings. I immediately ran to the TV and watched the news. My eyes were glued to the TV, for what seemed to be all morning long, trying to understand what had happened and then the second plane hit....and then news of the Pentagon got out. I was extrememly panicked at this point because someone very dear to me lives in Manhatten. I knew most likely they were safe, however, I was terrified of what would happen next. So I spent the next seven hours pushing a redial button on my cell phone. Then finally I got a call and a rush of relief. I will never forget that experience or the feeling I got.
