Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was getting ready to watch my favorite soap, "Days of our lives." On the channel it airs was all this news commotion. I was confused as to what it was about. When I heard that the towers had been attacked, I was in disbelief. I was dazed by it. Then I listened to the news some more. I began to feel shock and started to weep. I kept thinking, "no, this is not happening. It is not, this is a nightmare and I am going to wake up." I remember calling my husband at work and asking if he knew. He said yes. I kept saying to him, "oh my God. This is really going on out there." I told him I loved him. I told him I was greatful that we were here, safe. I got off the phone and hugged my son. I was glued to the television, in hopes that someone on there would assure me I was not seeing or hearing what I was. The images still stick in my mind. All the pictures. I was not there, but looking at those images, I may as well have been there. So many people lost. People that I never knew, but were my brothers and sisters anyway according to God. People I will never have the pleasure of meeting. People with families left alone. If I have learned anything from this, it is that the American people are strong and brave and it makes me proud of what I am. I will never know what is was like to be there, to see the pain and damage, but I was there in heart and prayer. I will never forget and I may not know the names of all of our heros.
