Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I will never forget 9/11/01 I had just had surgery about 3 weeks earlier on my knee. I was returning to the childrens hospital of philadelphia to get my cast and stitches removed and fitted for a brace. I was sitting in on a table while my Dr was removing my cast when his assistant came in and told us to turn on the radio. My Dr. stopped and went over and turned it on. We litened to them as they said that one of the towers had just been hit by a plane. I began thinking oh my goodness! But how? How could the pilot not see the towers? (like it was an accident) ...little did I or any of us know it was not. We then went into another romm to remove my stitches this room had a TV so we put it on and watched it just as the 2 nd plane crashed into the 2nd tower. I began to crry like a baby. I have many relatives in NYC and I freaked out. I later found out over the days that followed that I knew one person that died. The pilot of the plane that hit the north tower use to be a neighbor of mine and moved a few yrs ago to a different neighborhood about 5 min away. TO michael Horrocks We miss you and love you!
