It was one of my days off, so I was sleeping in. I was forced out of bed by the telephone ringing. When I answered I never could have imagined the news I would soon hear. My mom had that frantic sound in her voice, and I thought someone in the family had been hurt; It kind of was my family. She told me to turn on the T.V., and that the Twin Towers had been hit! Then she said that there was talk of war, and that she had heard we should fill our cars up with gas due to a possible shortage. I just couldn't believe all this news rushing at me. I mean, this was America we were talking about! I didn't understand why anybody would want to attack America because we allow people the freedom to worship and believe how ever they want. Anyhow, I couldn't pull myself from the T.V. at all that day. Several different emotions were inside of me as I watched the re-capt of what happened. I cried with every person they showed crying, I felt an enormous amount of hatred when they told that they suspected Bin Laden, and I also felt scared for what would happen to the country I had so selfishly took forgranted. Like I said, they were kind of my family. We are all brothers and sisters in Christ. Thankfully Americans stick together. I don't think we could survive without having the strength of the Lord and of one another. To all of those who had loved ones die due to this horrific act, I am praying for you! I also pray for those who survived, and are having a hard time picking yourself back up again! GOD BLESS AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!
