Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Its been 1 1/2 years since september 11th and I still have not come to a realization that that all of it really happened. On september 11th I had been living with my aunt and uncle for a few years. I woke up that morning to get ready for school. As I walked past my aunts room I noticed that her t.v was on. So I went in there to turn it off. I noticed that she was awake sitting up in her bed. She told me to sit down and watch the news. She was trying to explain to me what was happening. Being in 8th grade I had NO idea what she was talking about. All I knew was that the Twin Towers were two towers that were really tall...but not much more then that. So when I saw that they were on fire all I thought was " That's a bummer." After not knowing anything that my aunt was trying to explain to me.....I went to take my morning shower. My cousin had knocked on the door and told me that the Pentagon had been hit also. Again, not knnowing much about the Pentagon. After my shower was through, I went back into my aunts room to watch the news. As I had gone into the room the towers were barely standing. Well, the towers collapsed and it still didn't hit quit yet. I went off to school and throughout the day I kept hearing people talking about the Nuclear Plant and what if it were bombed. That frightened be alittle. I recall a lot of students wanting to watch the news but our principal would not allow it to be on. So behind the schools back a few of my teachers turned it on. The next few days is when it really hit me what had happened. All I saw on the t.v was people trying to find out information on someone that was in the WTC. All I can remember doing the next week was crying. I wondered why was it them that died? Why was I lucky to not know anyone who lost their lives? Now I live with knowing how oblivious I was to everything,and how I just blew it off like it was nothing. And the sad thing is that not once do I remember calling any family memebers to tell them I loved them. If I could go back I'd change that. And till this day I think about the famalies that lost loved ones and how many of them were saved.
