Tell us your story: i was at home listening to the radio getting ready for work, when it was interrupted with the news flash.. the first thing i thought of - was my 23 year old cousin, Matthew Carmen Sellitto who worked on the 105th floor for Cantor Fitzgerald. He has just received a promotion. He is my first cousin and my brother because i am an only child. he is my fathers godson and his brothers kid. My legs could not move fast enough to the kitchen where i could turn on the closest t.v. i then saw tower 1 on fire, i started to scream to my mother upstairs - mom, mom,,, the t.v. Matthew - i couldn't make full sentences... we watched together ..i called there to try and reach him at work... but the lines were busy. my father was at work... we called him as we did that - he was in a meeting - i sat and watched with the hopes he was in the other tower - as i thought that - the other plane slammed into tower 2. after that i felt as if my whole heart dropped out of me - i started to get enraged with anger and fear - saying where are they coming from why - those people? how??? my name is Danya Sellitto I am 26 years old and the rest of the day we spent at my uncle Matt & aunt lori's house in Harding, NJ. Where my uncle stated that at 8:57 am Matthew called home and said they were going to try and make it out, but if they couldn't he loved everyone , very much. you could hear the fear in his voice - part of his conversation was caught on the answering machine. I can not express enough to all those families - that the hurt can not be described. i miss my Matthew so much - he was the coolest, smartest and funniest young man you would love to meet. He really was handsome, our family is so tight - outsiders call the sellitto family -the brady bunch gang. We are always there for one another - we will be there again at my Uncle's house in Harding on the Anniversary - every cousin, aunt , uncle, grandparent - everyone is taking the day off to be there with them just like that fatal day.
