Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: On the morning of September 11th I woke up around 9:00am. Went to the living room and turned on the tv. The footage of the attacks were already being shown. At first I wasn't sure just what was going on. At the bottom of the screen were the initials WTC attacked. I yelled in to ask my husband what WTC stood for and he yelled back World Trade Center. Then all of a suddon it hit me what was going on just as the plane flew into the second tower. My husband joined me in front of the tv where we spent most of Tuesday September 11, 2001 holding each other and our son. We tried to turn off the tv but were afraid that their would be more attacks on the United States. I will never forget the empty feeling that I had in the pit of my stomach on that day. I will never forget the loss of emotion that I felt on that day. I will never forget the feeling thatI had than night when I went to bed. I wondered just what was going to happen tomorrow. One year later as we are reliving that day again I can only think of the children who lost parents and who were born after the attacks - never knowing the parents who are being called heroes. I am just an ordinary housewife, I don't teach young children in a school nor am I a police officer, or a firefighter. I am not a construction worker nor did I know anyone affected in the WTC attacks. But that day changed my whole outlook on life and I will never be the same again.
