WE TRIED TO CALL FAMILY MEMBERS AND THE LINES WOULD NOT GO THRU, IT WAS A TIME TO PRAY, NOT ONLY FOR FAMILY MEMBERS BUT FOR THE NEW YORK STATE ITSELF. AFTER A DAY WE WERE ABLE TO GET CANTACT WITH FAMILY MEMBERS BUT THE NEWS ON THE DESASTERWAS DREDFULL. AT THE SAME TIME MY MOTHER WAS IN THE USA FROM A VACATION IN EUROPE, SO i HAD TO FLY UP THERE TO GET HER BEING THAT SHE WAS 92 AT THE TIME SHE NEEDED ESCORT TO BRING HER TO FL. iT WASNT A NICE ENTERING THE AIRPORT, MILITERY WAS EVERYWERE, YOU COULD FEEL AND SMELL TRAGITY AND DISASTER. AND HERE I AM ON MY WAY TO NYC ON FLIGHT, WELL, I PRAYED AND DID MY CROSS JUST TO GET THERE SAFE FOR MY MOTHER, AND I SAID TO MYSELF, WHAT EVER IS TO BE, IS TO BE BY GODS WILL. GOT INTO THE PLANE EVERYTHING WENT FINE, WE REACHED NY, AND GOOD GOD YOU SHOULD HAVE SEEN IT FROM UP IN THE SKY, IT LOOKED LIKE HELL HIT NY AND IT HAD. AND I WAS THERE, I SAID TO MYSELF THIS IS WAR, NY IS IN MONING, BUT COMING FROM ANOTHER STATE I SAW THAT THEY WERE NOT ALONE, EVERYONE HAS RAISED THERE AMERICAN FLAGS, WHAT PETRIOTISM, WERE ALL READY TO FIGHT FOR OUR COUNTRY. THATS WHAT WAS SAID IN NO WORDS. OUR FLAG SAID IT ALL. GOT TO NEW YORK AND I WANTED TO GO SEE WHAT HAD HAPPENED FROM UP CLOSE, THEY TOLD ME THAT THEY DONT ALOW ANYONE TO GET ANYWERE NEAR CAUSE THERE STILL DIGING OUT BODDIES. IT WAS INDEED AN ACT OF WAR. iVE LOST A FEW LOVED ONES IN MY TIME AND I KNEW WHAT NY WAS GOING THRU. I DONT THINK THAT THEY WILL EVER GET OVER THIS. WELL I GOT MY MOM AND HEADED BACK TO FL.
