Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I remember on September 11,2001 it was raining horribly. I had come from lunch at work and was soaked. My boss told me to go home before I caught the flu. I was so happy to have a day off and relax. I was sitting on my couch at home trying to find something on television to watch. All of a sudden I saw one of the planes hitting the first twin tower. I thought to myself, this is a new movie, it can't be real. The announcer was talking about the Pentagon, and then out of the blue, the second plane hit. It was unbelievable. I was in shock. All I could think of was the day when I was in fifth grade watching the Challenger take off, and then exploding into flames. Instant sorrow. I felt for the lives that were taken, and the lives that now have something missing. I just wish it had never happened. This tragedy affected my soul, my way of thinking, my commitments, my compassion, my life. It made me proud to live in this country, it made me grateful I have my loved ones still safe. It made me angry and resentful that anyone could ever be this hateful. All I can do now is be one of millions in praying that something of this nature or calibur will never happen again. I pray for the families, the fallen, the heroes, the lost souls. I even pray for the terrorists. All I can do is pray for us all. May God bless us, everyone.
