Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was watching TV with my mother in law. We were waiting fo a particular program we both like when a news flash crawleer came on the screen. Then we saw it - the images of the World Trade Centre being horrificly demolished before our eyes! As we continued to watch, I kept shaking my head and saying "I can't believe this is happening!" By 3.00am (our time) tiredness got the better of both of us and we finally went to bed. I climbed in beside my husband who stirred slightly. I told him what was happening and tried in vain to go off to sleep. Our alarm clock sounded at 4.30am and my husband stretched, cuddled me for a while and then got ready for work. At that time we had only been married for 14 months. When he came back into the bedroom to give me a kiss and cuddle Goodbye I clung to him, begging him not to go. Yes, we were on the other side of the world, but I couldn't bear the terrifying thought of losing him. For months afterwards I had recurring nightmares - the images of that horrific day etched indellibly in my subconscious, for I kept seeing Mike buried under rubble and me unable to get to him. We have been married for well over 3 years now and my personal nightmares have gone. But I still feel a tiny bit of the pain your victims must have felt. By chance yeaterday I stumbled on the song "I Can't Cry Hard Enough" on the internet. As I listened to the words tears rolled down my cheeks, blurring my vision, How appropriate! How very moving!
