911DA Story: Story
I had woken up early that morning, in order to take my grandmother to an appointment with her eye doctor. I had a few extra minutes before we had to leave, so I was playing video games. When I turned off the gaming system, it was about 8:30am, central standard time. As soon as I shut off the power on the system, the image of the first tower hit was displayed on the television screen, in all of its horrific destruction. I didn't know what I was watching at first. It was so surreal; I thought that it must have been a movie or some old video archive of some kind. But, then, I realized to my dismay that it was a live news broadcast of the terrible events that had happened only a short time before. I walked around all that day in a sort of shocked daze. I will never forget how that felt. Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ that there was only a fraction of the normal crew in those towers and in that part of the Pentagon that day. May the Lord watch over the souls of those who perished. Amen.
