Tell us your story: i remember the morning of 9/11. my husband who is in the navy, had just returned from a deployment the weekend before. we had just gotten up to prepare for work and we turned on the television to cnn like we always do in the morning of course we saw the video tape of the jetliners crashing through the twin towers we were shocked,horrified, and confused at what we had just seen. the phone rang and my husband was recalled to the base. i then reported to work at the school age care facility where i work the children were all scared and confused as they had viewed the reply of this horrible horrible act. many of the chidren we care for are children of military members so of course they were concerned that mom or dad or mom and dad would be deployed. many of the children were concerned that what they had viewed on the television would be re created here in hawaii i quickly reassured them that it would not and ushered them up to the art room with a television and several childrens movies in order to take their mind off of the days events-- submitted by danielle a bogard Dublin Core The Dublin Core metadata element set is common to all Omeka records, including items, files, and collections.
