Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: My supervisor came in that morning saying that she heard on the radio on the drive in that a plane hit the World Trade Center. I couldn't believe it, so my coworker walked with me to our cafeteria, and as we stood there watching CNN on the TV, we saw the towers fall on live TV. It was just an unbelievable sight and there were a lot of gasps from the people in the room. We just couldn't believe it! The rest of the day consisted of people going in to watch the TVs and/or listening to news radio to find out what was going on. There was so much fear as to what was happenning to our country and how much more was going to happen. With the days that followed, our company took up collections after choosing one of the 9/11 funds, and the company matched it. We also put money that we made on selling patriotic shirts, pins, and mugs towards these funds. We tried to do a blood drive, but the local office was booked solid for several months. It was just an unbelievable amount of support for our country and the people that were involved in these horrific incidents - people we did not know.
