Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was on my way to a Doctors appointment listening to the radio when the news broke. At first I thought it was some kind of a hoax, when I arrived at the doctors office the television was on and had pictures of what was happening. I do believe everyone in that room went in to shock and a feeling that can't be put into words still. I returned home and watched for days as the rescue efforts continued. I could not sleep, so I'd watch the news hoping and praying there would be people found alive. As the days and weeks went on it was clear there would be no one found alive. A deep, deep saddness had fallen on me and my country. How could this have happened? What kind of people could do such a horrible thing to innocent Americans? Only the devil himself could have caused this and yet they say it was done by followers of some kind of religion. "Oh my God", how can this be? I'm still asking this question on August 20, 2002. I still have difficulty realizing that this really happened. I've been so depressed and felt so scared at times and yet feeling so proud to be an American! As 9/11-2002 is approaching I'm reliving the moments of that horrible day and the days that came and went. I know I'm still grieving as the nation is, yes it's true life does go on but I now know without any reservation it will never be like it was on September 10, 2001. I cry for all those families that lost their loved ones and pray that God is giving them strength to go on. I'm praying for my President George Bush, all the leaders of this great country and the troops that are fighting the war on terrorism. We must stay united as we were in the days after the attack. I've never seen so many flags flying, it was like a sea of red, white and blue, oh how beautiful! But why did it take such a horrible attack to bring us back to what this country was built on.
