911DA Story: Story

The day I became an American...

Arrived in the US at the age of 5 in March of 1959. Never really felt as an American even though I had lived here for 43 years.

I grew up in Union City, New Jersey across the Lincoln Tunnel from NYC. I joined Merrill Lynch in 1977 and trained at Merrill Lynch for 6 months to prepare to take the Series 7 exam.

Had daily lunch consisting of Pizza and Coke at Battery Park (commonly known as assault and battery Park) , next to the Old Church on Wall Street.

When I saw those planes hit the towers it was as if the planes hit me. I despaired felt depressed, cried an finally I felt blind hatred and rage against those who had commited these atrocities.
They had attacked my country, my state, my city, my countrymen, my friends, my family....I had become and American.
God Bless America!
