Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I remembered that day like it was yesterday. I was at work, I am a licensed practical nurse. I remember one of my patients screaming out, "Mrs. Hall! Come and see this!" I thought my patient had fallen out of her chair. When I arrived at her room , she was watching the news with a look of horror on her face. I asked her was she in pain,and she raised her arm , pointing at the television with one hand and covering her mouth with the other. I looked over at the television and watched as the first airplane hit the first building and then the second airplane hitting the other building. I prayed that this was either a movie or I was dreaming. I stood there next to my patient's wheelchair like my feet were glued to that very spot. I listened to the news reporter confirm my fear to what I had just seen. Something so horrible that I felt my heart skip 2 to 3 beats. I listened over our hospital intercom system , as the receptionist reported what was happening in New York. At this time I begin to walk away from my patient's room into the hallway where all of my co-workers were crying and hugging one another. I felt as though I was daydreaming and I was in a nightmare. I thought to myself "This kind of thing doesn't happen in real life. This kind of thing only happened in the past. Like with pearl harbor!Where is God! God please come down and explain to me what you just allowed to happen to innocent people!" I remembered walking into some of the people in the hallway and bumping into the walls while tears streamed down my face. I thought about the innocent people inside the buildings. I thought about the innocent people on the airplane and what they went through to know that they are about to die and kill other innocent peoople. I remember screaming to the top of my lungs"why!!!!"
