Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was getting ready for work, my son called and told me about a plane hitting one of the Twin Towers...as I turned my TV on..the second plane hit...I was in total shock and disbelief...so many emotions went threw me...I started to cry when I thought of all the people killed..trapped and injured in those buildings..When I saw films of people jumping out of windows knowing they were falling to their deaths, I can't even imagine the terror they must have felt. My heart was deeply saddened, when I realized that many of the people who lost their lives my never be found. I thought who could be filled with so much HATE that they could destroy so many people and their families...I watched news coverage each day to see how many people would be found..praying for each family whose life it had effected. I have the highest respect for all who worked at Ground Zero..they were not giving up until they knew there was no longer a possibility for survivors..I have a friend who is a fireman..who went and helped with rescue efforts...I wanted to help in some way no matter how small..so I went and volunteered at our local Red Cross and did what ever I could... This tragedy will be a part of our history ..I'm so very thankful to live in a country as wonderful as this..where we all pull together to show our love for one another and our nation.
