Title A name given to the resource September 11 Digital Archive Stories Description An account of the resource This collection is the bulk of the archive, representing the reactions and experiences of thousands of individuals beginning in 2002. 911DA Story 911DA Story: Story Tell us about what you did, saw, or heard on September 11th. Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was sitting at work, awaiting the arrival of co-workers who were flying in from other states for a meeting. When we heard the radio announce the first plane had hit the World Trade center. I then received a phone call from co-workers in Jersey City who had just witnessed the 1st plane and then the 2nd plane hit. We then gathered in our lunchroom to watch the broadcast. Due to the devastation, we were sent home to be with family and friends. I did not know anyone personally who died or lost a loved one, but did have a co-worker in Jersey City lose her husband, though I did not know her or her husband my heart aches for her. I have two children ages 10 and 12 and I hope and pray that they never again have to experience anything like this. Our main office was located in 7 World Trade Center until 06/2001 and we are very grateful that we decided to move our operation out of New York into Jersey City when we did, or this devastation could have and would have crippled our business. I pray for all of those lost in the September 11, 2001 tragedy, and pray that for all those found alive that someday they will be able to live again and not fear everytime a plane crosses over that something this devastating is going to happen again. I will keep all of those lost in my heart, and pray everyday for those here with us today, that time will heal the scars.
