Sometimes when things happen to the rest of the country it doesn't really effect us in ALaska .I woke up, got on the internet and there it was. I thought it was a movie. Some big hollywood picture. I didn't know if it was true. The school day was a mix of buisness and emotion.SOme teachers but CNN or MSNBC on, some tried to get by with out talking. WE all had questions, I know I did. But now, I know they couldn't answer them. I remember that on the bus ride, there was a sign on one of the windows. It read " Were At War." THe bus driver told us we weren't. I f we weren't, I didn't know what war was. What had the most impact on me that day was the quiet. Never in my life have I ever heard everything around me so quiet. I remember my mother crying. And my 3 year old sisters world changing before our eyes. I won't forget, and hopefully know one ever will. I will tell my sister what happen. What I remember from that day.
