Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: On September 11, 2001, I was in Jacksboro, Texas, visiting with my mother. We (my brother, my mom and me) had just gotten into her pickup to go to the local restaurant (it's a small town) and headed off towards the square when I discovered I had left my purse behind and I needed it. We turned back to the house and heard the reports on the radio. My mom thought it was a broadcast much like the Orson Welles one from years ago and then we realized it was REAL!!! As soon as I entered the house, my fiance was on the phone calling me from Louisville, Kentucky. We turned on the tv and sat there in shock for a minute then we left and went to her cousin's house a half hour's drive away. We watched it on the tv all afternoon. We could not believe that someone had attacked America here on our homeland. My son was just 11 months old then but I decided he would know what had happened because it changed our nation's history and impacted billions of lives. I kept copies of the newspaper for him to read when he's old enough. I just pray he never has to see it happen again! God Bless ALL the victims and survivors of 9/11.
