Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Chris Castro Global 5/13/02 World Trade Center September 11, 2001 was the worst day of any American citizens life. I was in Earth science third period when the assistant teacher Ms. Neuman was telling Ms. Kersch about the tragedy. No one really knew if it was true or not. Then Ms. Kersch turned on the television. We were all witness to a historical tragedy occurring and it was horrifying. We all couldn't believe our eyes. The one World Trade Tower was on fire and lots of smoke was coming out of it. Millions of people were fleeing away from the tragedy to save themselves. After that class everyone was talking about it, and we watched it in every class during the day. The media had a huge impact on this event because the had live footage of the incident and brought breaking news every second. This incident will have a big impact on my life because this was an enormous tragedy for the United States. It also p ut us in a big debt by using all of are surplus money. We had to make provisions as well for our new military. The World Trade Center wasn't the only building to get attacked. The Pentagon was also attacked. It didn't collapse like the other buildings did. A plane hit one side of the building and started a fire. Because of these attacks there is now very strict security at airports and other important places that terrorists would consider as key targets that could hurt our country. Our country now is taking extreme precautions to fight terrorism. This tragedy will be in history books to come. I feel extremely sad and fortunate to have seen this occur as I was growing up. My children and grand children will ask about the attacks someday and I can tell them everything that happened because I lived through it. But yet I still feel sorrow for the people who died and for their suffering families.
