Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: Having just moved into our house, our television had not been hooked up to cable yet. We had a makeshift antena and only could see two fuzzy stations. That morning my wife was home from work with the flu. I did not have work, I was working every other day. She ran upstairs and woke me to tell me the World Trade Center was on fire. We had no idea it was an attack. Once we realized I watch the coverage for about 5 hours. All air traffic was shut down. That night we heard airplanes overhead which was enough to cause a slight panic. They were military craft on the way to Niagara Falls Air Base. Also local National Guard was being mobilized to ground zero. I was teaching at Fredonia State College at the time. The next day I had one less student, as she was one of the guard sent to aide in rescue efforts at ground zero. She was worried about her grade in my course as she left to defend the country and sift through the rouble for human beings. I told the other students she more than earned her "A."
