Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: IT STARTED OFF TO BE A BEAUTIFUL DAY. I WAS ON THE FRONT END WHERE THE REGISTERS ARE AND I WAS TEASING MY BOSS AND ASKING HIM IF HE WAS GOING TO BUY A TV HE SAID NO THAT SOMETHING HAD JUST CRASHED INTO ONE OF THE TOWERS AND I SAID "WHAT?" I DIDN'T UNDERSTAND HIM AT FIRST SO I RAN UPSTAIRS AND ASKED WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THAT'S WHEN I HEARD THAT A PLANE HAD CRASHED INTO ONE OF THE TOWERS.FROM THAT MOMENT ON I WAS TOTALLY SHOCKED AND DEVESTATED WE KEPT THE TV ON ALL DAY. WE KEPT IN ON ALL WEEK AND LISTEN TO ALL OF THE UPDATES. I AM SORRY TO ALL THOSE WHO LOST THEIR LIVES AND THEIR LOVED ONES IN THIS TRAGIC CATASTROPHE AND I PRAY THAT THIS WILL NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN!!! I WENT TO A CELEBRATION OF REMEMBERANCE "STILL STANDING" YESTERDAY SEPTEMBER 11,2002. IT WAS PRESENTED BY THE CITY OF SOUTHAVEN. IT WAS A GOOD TURN OUT. IT LASTED FOR 4 1/2 HOURS. THE MUSIC WAS BEAUTIFUL. WHAT I THOUGHT WAS NICE IS THAT THEY HAD A REGOGNITION OF THE MILITARY PERSONNEL AND OF THE FIREMEN AND POLICEMEN. THE MILITARY ALL GOT UP ON STAGE AND TURNED AROUND AND SALUTED THE AUDIENCE. MY FIANCE WORKS FOR THE SOUTHAVEN FIRE DEPT. (HE IS A PARAMEDIC.) AND ALL OF THE SONGS THEY SANG AND ALL OF THE PRAYERS THEY SAID WERE VERY TOUCHING AND BROUGHT TEARS TO MY EYES. THE MAIN WORDS THEY USED LAST NIGHT 9-11-02 WERE :"HATE CANNOT WIN!" I STILL PRAY FOR THOSE FAMILIES WHO LOST THEIR LOVED ONES AND I PRAY FOR ALL THE BABIES OF 9/11 WHO LOST THE FATHERS AND WILL NEVER GET TO SEE THEIR DADDYS SMILE OR FEEL THEIR DADDYS TOUCH. I PRAY FOR AMERICA AND WHAT AMERICA STANDS FOR! "I AM PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN!!!!"
