Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: My name is Patricia Pilcher, and the day of the attack I was home, mourning the death of my father just 13 days prior to the attack. He passed away on August 29th. He served 27 years in the Army, he retired in 73. He was a character, he surely will be missed. He had lived with my family and I for 2 and 1/2 years, we became very close. We talked about everything. In fact just a couple months or so before the attack, we were talking about an attack happening again, that it was just a matter of time before it happened again. The day of the attack though I was sleeping in my chair in front of the tv, I would sleep alot so that I wouldn't have to face my home without my day bellowing from his room, I still miss that very much. But anyways I woke up right after the first airplane hit the tower. And I thought to myself, oh one of the buildings is on fire. So I kept watching, and a few minutes later, Ms. Katie Couric said ladies and genltemen, a plane has just hit the building, and we don't have anymore details at this time. Then I saw the other plane come around, and thought as everyone else that it was some how caught on video and they were replaying it. Until, they said oh my god another plane just hit the other tower. I got on the phone and called my mom, she lives in New York State. Campbell, NY. We stayed on the phone together for along time. We were talking still when the first tower fell and the then the other one. I was very upsetting, I knew that it was coming, the attack I mean, because they are very patient people, I mean look they had planned this for years. Every sense they bombed the basement of the towers, I told my dad there will be another attack it is just a matter of when. If he were alive when the attacks took place, we would have been talking about all day. He would have been bitching all day and night. I feel really bad for the people who lost loved ones, I cried and was in a mourning type for them, very numb like everyone else. Well that is my story of that day.
