Feel free to write as much or as little as you like. Tell us your story: I was driving to work at the federal building downtown and I heard on the radio that a plane had hit one of the twin towers. The radio personalities sounded pretty spooked because they way they were reporting it, it seemed like a freak-accident. I was in the middle of a training class that week & when I walked into the room they had 2 tv monitors on. Everyone was in shock. Not even the instructors were interested in anything except what was on the news. Then we saw the 2nd plane hit and it seemed like all those miles away, everything went dark. There was an older lady in the class who had 2 sons working in tower 1. She just sat in a chair, unable to move with tears streaming down her face. I haven't seen her since. I was able to call my sister-in-law in D.C. just in time for her to tell me all subways had stopped operating. My husband was away on business in Georgia and couldn't come home so I had to help my 7 yr old daughter deal with what she was seeing all over tv. The closer it gets to 9/11...I have no words.
